SJ Berwin LLP'S European Employment & Pensions Group Enhances London Team

European law firm SJ Berwin LLP has enhanced its Employment & Pensions Group with the recruitment of two new senior associates in the London Office.

Carl Richards joined SJ Berwin during October 2007. He currently advises on a full variety of contentious and non-contentious work ranging from transactional support and complex high value litigation to everyday HR support and advice.

Prior to SJ Berwin LLP, Carl worked in the Employment Team at Fox Williams solicitors. Carl also previously worked at DJ Freeman in London where he trained and qualified.

Carl gained his LLB in Law at Nottingham Trent University in 1996 and was admitted as a solicitor of England & Wales in September 1999.

Claire Brattey joined SJ Berwin in September 2007, having trained and qualified in Scotland. Since joining the firm’s Employment Team, she has worked on both contentious and non contentious issues advising both employers and senior executives.

Prior to joining SJ Berwin LLP, Claire worked in the Employment, Pensions & Benefits team at Burness LLP solicitors in Glasgow, Scotland. Claire also previously worked and qualified at Thompsons Solicitors based in Glasgow.

Claire gained her LLB (Hons) at Dundee University and was admitted as a solicitor of Scotland in 2001.
