Charlotte was made a partner in the Media & Communications Group in 2004.

She advises on a broad range of media and communications work with a particular focus on the commercial, copyright and regulatory aspects of broadcasting and digital media. Her experience includes advising on the distribution of content across platforms, advising on media ownership restrictions, advising on broadcasting regulation and providing specialist media advice relating to corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals and IPOs. She also advises on telecommunications regulation and commercial agreements relating to the provision of telecommunications services. In addition, Charlotte has a great deal of experience in advising on the production and financing of films and television programmes. Her clients include CBS Paramount International Television, CBS Broadcasting, Pipex Communications, Ingenious and Life TV.

Charlotte regularly speaks at internal and external conferences on pertinent commercial and regulatory issues concerning the media and communications industry. Recent topics have included the Audiovisual Media Services Directive, legal issues surrounding user generated content sites, IPTV legal implications and rights issues relating to digital entertainment.

She is a member of the Royal Television Society, the Institute of International Communications and Women in Film and Television.

Charlotte is recommended for her broadcasting and digital carriage expertise in Legal 500 UK (2007 edition) and in Chambers UK (2007 edition) she is listed in the “ranked lawyers” section as “up and coming” with a supporting comment which states she “…wins praise for her broadcast expertise”.
