Achim Pütz is a partner in the Munich office of SJ Berwin and head of SJ Berwin's German Financial Markets Group. With many years of experience, he advises German and foreign clients in capital markets and investment law. Achim is an expert in fund structuring both tradi-tional and alternative investments. The conception, documentation and promotion of struc-tured debt products is another special focus of his practise. Achim advises for many years institutional investors, especially insurance companies, with regard to their investments in complex alternative investment structures, especially hedge funds, commodity funds, real  estate funds and private equity funds.

Achim is credited with various publications and frequently gives speeches on questions of investment and capital market’s law related issues. Achim is founder and chairman of the German Alternative Investment Association (BAI). Besides, he was council member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) for many years.
