SJ Berwin's Investment Funds Practice cuts across a number of Groups within the Firm, and pulls together corporate, real estate, commercial, tax and regulatory lawyers from the Firm's London Office and a number of its European Offices as well. The team comprises some 40 partners (supported by 38 associates) across the Firm. The practice spans private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, film funds & film finance and regulated collective investment schemes.

SJ Berwin views its investment funds practice as a whole, however, with the public equity markets performing poorly in 2002, clients have been looking increasingly to alternative asset classes such as private equity, property and hedge funds, and we are also finding clients who have historically been active in one such area are looking to expand into others.
