Sylvie Vansteenkiste is a tax partner in the Paris office.
She specialises in complex tax structures involving investment funds and any other transparent entities (partnership, LLC, French FCPRs and FCPs), tax advice on the structure of an acquisition and incentive agreements for the management. She also has extensive experience with respect to tax audit and tax litigation. She regularly advises international groups with respect to corporate and tax structures.
Former tax inspector for eight years at the Direction des Vérifications Nationales et Internationales at the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance, Sylvie Vansteenkiste joined Salans Hertzfeld & Heilbronn in 1990 in its Paris office and became partner in 1994. B
orn November 11 1956, she graduated from the University of Lille I and the Ecole Nationale des Impôts in 1983. Former "Conseil Juridique" in 1991 she was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1992. Member of the Tax and Legal Sub-Committee of EVCA, and the Legal Affairs Committee of AFIC, the French private equity association, Sylvie Vansteenkiste regularly advises the AFIC with respect to the drafting of legislation or regulations regarding French FCPRs.
