David Meredith heads SJ Berwin LLP's full service Outsourcing practice. He has many years’ experience of the legal and regulatory issues of deploying communications and technology, procurement laws, industry-specific regulation, privacy and the Internet. David and his team undertake IT and BPO outsourcing and offshoring across industries and particularly specialise in the contract modelling of complex sourcing and transformational projects.

David has in recent years acted on many of the largest and most complex UK, European and global projects, including acting for EDS on its ATLAS consortium UK MOD’s DII(F) project, and for global airline communications and technology provider SITA, on the mid-term restructuring of it services arrangements with Orange Business Services. David has also undertaken a number of projects for Microsoft, Standard Chartered Bank and T-Mobile.

Prior to joining SJ Berwin, David spent secondment periods with major telecommunications, technology and content services providers, and the UK Government.

David has first class honours in law from each of the University of Nottingham and Kings College, London. He is recommended for IT and outsourcing by Legal 500, PLC Which Lawyer? and Legal Business Legal Experts. He is a member of Sweet & Maxwell’s Commercial Law Panel, for whom he wrote the Outsourcing chapter for the leading precedent textbook, Practical Commercial Precedents.
