Andrea is the responsible for Financial Markets in the Milan office. He specialises in offering financial products and services, intermediaries’ rules of conduct, establishment and marketing of investment funds (both UCITS, hedge and private equity), derivative instruments and structured finance transactions, with particular focus on securitizations and structured bonds offers. In his structured finance practice, Andrea has represented originators and arrangers in the securitization of a variety of receivables, as well in the structuring of complex warehousing and conduit deals. He also counsels on Italian and EU bankruptcy law, with specific reference to insolvency of banks and other financial institutions.

Educated at the University of Torino (degree in Political Sciences) and of Trento (LL.D), Andrea subsequently gained an LL.M in Banking and Finance at King’s College London. Before joining SJ Berwin, he has previously worked for more than six years in Allen & Overy’s International Capital Markets Department, both in Milan and London. Andrea’s mother tongue is Italian. He also speaks English, French and Portuguese fluently.

He has been lecturing for three years on private comparative law at the School of Law of Trento University. He has also cooperated with Mr. D Soto’s ILD Institute and is currently engaged in publishing some financial law articles on Brazilian journals and in a joint study programme with some Brazilian Universities ( URI and Universitade Federal de Porto Alegre). He is a member of the Bar of Milan.
