Robert Andrews joined SJ Berwin in October of 1999 and became a partner in May 2004. Robert advises borrowers and lenders on a wide range of both international and domestic financing transactions including syndicated loans, acquisition finance and property finance. He has experience in advising banks, companies, partnerships, private equity funds and European institutions. His recent experience includes acting for the arranging bank and sponsors in respect of numerous acquisition facilities (including the buyouts of Iceland chain of stores, Whittard of Chelsea and Wyndeham Press plc).
Robert qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and has also been awarded a Masters of Law with Merit in International Business Law from the London School of Economics.
