Nathan Briner is a partner in the Finance Department specialising in Real Estate Finance. 

He joined SJ Berwin in 1998 and has since re-qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales. Nathan advises both corporate and banking clients on a wide range of domestic and international real estate financing transactions including bilateral and syndicated facilities. His experience includes advising property funds, borrowers and financial institutions on investment, development and liquidity bridge financings in the UK, European and Russian real estate finance markets.

Recent transactions include:

• Acting for a consortium of Irish and UK investors in relation to the structuring and financing of a €150 million property acquisition of nine shopping centres in Germany
• Acting for a leading UK property company in the refinancing of the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane
• Acting for a UK AIM listed entity in relation to investment and development financings in Russia and the Ukraine 
• Acting for a middle eastern bank in relation to a recent £150m development financing in central London

Qualified in Australia in 1995; Partner at SJ Berwin in 2005. Nathan is a member of the Investment Property Forum and Urban Land Institute.
