Tim Beale joined SJ Berwin in 1994 and was made a partner in 2003. Tim's area of practice spans corporate disputes to complex commercial fraud, pensions and media litigation, as well as giving strategic advice in relation to dispute avoidance.

In addition, he acts regularly in cross border disputes throughout most of Europe and North America, as well as Africa.

Within the last 12 months he has:

• advised a major private equity house in relation to a series of inter-linked and multi-jurisdictional shareholder disputes
• completed the successful negotiation of a series of cross-border claims brought by a number of stockbroking against defaulting investors
• advised on the insurance coverage and dispute avoidance aspect of the acquisition of the Walbrook business from Deloitte & Touche
• advised a national news agency in a broadcasting rights claim against the Football League and the BBC – including injunctive relief
• acted for a high profile individual in his professional negligence claim against his tax advisors
• handled a series of complex accounts warranty claims on behalf of a Greek company
• completed settlement of a £millions professional negligence claim brought by a major venture capital client against a well known international law firm
