Shaistah has extensive experience of a broad spectrum of commercial litigation,including fraud, misrepresentation and professional negligence claims, as well as shareholder disputes and multi jurisdictional actions. She has advised clients ranging from hedge funds, investment banks, private equity houses, pension funds, IT and telecoms companies, to property developers, pharmaceutical companies and high net worth individuals. She also has experience of IP and employment tribunal litigation.

Shaistah is a qualified Solicitor Advocate, and has developed an expertise in mediation, having successfully settled a number of cases through this process.

Shaistah chairs SJ Berwin's Islamic Finance and Middle East group and the firm's Pakistan initiative. She sits on the Steering Committee of the Prince of Wales' Muslim Mentoring scheme and is also on the Committee of the Association of Asian Women Lawyers.
