Per Runeland joined as a member of the International Arbitration Group in September 2005. He is a well-known international arbitration specialist and his experience as an advocate and an arbitrator includes arbitrations in England, Sweden, Russia, Germany, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy and the Ukraine. Per is on the list of recommended arbitrators of the International Courts of Commercial Arbitration in Bishkek, Moscow and Kiev and is a frequently appointed arbitrator and counsel in SCC, ICC and LCIA arbitrations.

His experience includes:

• Counsel in actions challenging Swedish arbitration awards.
• Counsel in four related arbitrations concerning construction projects in Moscow with total claims over $100 million.
• Arbitrator in Bilateral Investment Treaty disputes with CIS Republics and in arbitration between German/US investor and Central Asian Republic relating to petroleum resources.
• Counsel to major UK supplier of engineering and turnkey plant to Russia (ICC Arbitration).
• Chairman of Stockholm arbitral tribunal dealing with multi-tier proceedings between European contractor and Russian employer.
• Arbitrator in Russian language arbitrations in Russian and Ukraine.
• Sole arbitrator or chairman in several arbitrations involving joint ventures in Russia.
• Counsel or arbitrator in several energy disputes (oil and gas) concerning production, distribution or pricing.
• Arbitrator in disputes over gas distribution in the Baltic States.
• Arbitrator in investment disputes in the Baltic States.
