Jonathan studied law at Queen’s University in Canada.  He qualified as a barrister and solicitor in Ontario in 2001.  Later he went on to complete an MBA at Oxford University in 2006 and had experience in investments and investment funds with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.  Subsequently, Jonathan acted as a consultant for P3Capital with respect to investment structuring and analysis of venture capital, collective investment schemes, and investment funds, including vehicles to support SMEs with venture capital funding (such as SETsquared).
 
He joined the private equity team at SJ Berwin in April 2007.  As a member of the private equity team, Jonathan has advised private equity and venture capital clients, focusing on private equity investment fund establishment, structuring, and secondary transactions.  He has also advised investors, including funds of funds.
Jonathan has also been involved in venture capital as both a lawyer and an entrepreneur.  He launched a medical devices business in 2001.
