Hwai Bin is an Associate in SJ Berwin LLP’s specialist Construction Group.

She studied at the National University of Singapore and joined SJ Berwin in April 2007 having previously worked as a senior associate with the Infrastructure Projects and Construction Group at WongPartnership (in joint venture with Clifford Chance) in Singapore.

Hwai Bin has experience acting for major developers and funding institutions advising in relation to large scale projects using various procurement methods across the UK, including City developments and has been involved in several transactional deals since joining SJ Berwin. Her experience includes drafting and negotiating bespoke amendments to standard form building contracts, warranties, bonds and guarantees.  Hwai Bin has previously advised various developers in Singapore on numerous real estate disputes and project matters and has experience dealing with a wide base of construction professionals ranging from contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, insurers and professionals as well as employers and governments in both the public and private sectors. She also previously advised the Building and Construction Authority Working Committee in proposing new amendments to the Public Sector standard contracts. 

Hwai Bin was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Singapore in 2001 and qualified as a solicitor in England in 2006.
