Alex Leitch joined SJ Berwin from the Bar in 1995 to augment SJ Berwin's advocacy expertise and became a partner in May 2000. As a solicitor advocate he frequently appears as advocate in trials and interim applications.

In recent years Alex has specialised in corporate and media related litigation. Leading cases in which he has been involved include:

• acting for the successful Claimants in the high profile Crown Dilmun litigation relating to the sale of Fulham Football Club's ground by Harrods
• assisting SES Astra to recover approximately US$5m in proceedings against iBEAM Corporation Inc
• assisting Banque Dexia International SA in the recovery of US$15m in respect of outstanding loans
• acting for Hilton Group Plc against Coral Group Plc in proceedings arising out of the Secretary of State's direction that the Hilton and Coral should demerge

The nature of the work undertaken by Alex means that he has experience of multi-jurisdictional litigation and he frequently works closely with North American and European firms.
