David does a broad spread of M&A transactions acting for corporates, banks and individual entrepreneurs, with an increasing international flavour.
Notable transactions include advising a founder of Microsoft on the disposal of Homechoice (the tri-play operator of broadband/telephony and video on-demand) to Tiscali S.p.a. and MGA Entertainment Inc on the European aspects of the purchase of The 'Little Tikes' business and assets. David also acted for British Land on the sale of its residential portfolio for £300 million to Insight Investment and for Landsbanki, Nomura, Collins Stewart and Arbuthnot Securities on various corporate and finance transactions. Moving eastwards, David acted for the sellers of interests in Bramex, a Kazakhstan business with interests in the South Alibek Field for $168 million; for clients in the Russian banking sector, for certain management on the P2P of Polmos Lublin, the Warsaw listed drinks business and for Raven Russia on various property led joint ventures in Russia. He was involved with a number of IPO proposals (mainly with an International flavour), including the reverse takeover of First Africa Oil Plc and its subsequent fund raisings and the IPO of Bulgarian Land Development plc. Other clients included Lexmark, Chanel and the Musgrave Group.
