Peter Owen-Pawson is a consultant in the Financial Markets Group having joined the firm's Financial Services Group as a partner in 1995. Prior to and after joining SJ Berwin Peter had six years experience combining a private practice partner position with responsibility for the in-house legal function at NatWest Investment Management, and for a short period head of legal at Gartmore Investment Management.

Peter's financial services experience spans 18 years and his practice covers a wide range of financial services and markets activities, predominantly from the perspective of providers or users of institutional fund management services and covering:  marketing and financial promotion of investments; establishment of funds (authorised and unregulated), customer and market-facing agreements (discretionary and advisory management arrangements, broker and master agreements, delegation arrangements), global custody, stock lending programmes, related regulatory and compliance issues, transition management, currency overlays.
