Bernadette graduated from the University of Warwick with a BA(hons) in History.  After completing Law School she trained at Lawrence Graham, qualifying as a solicitor in 1993. Bernadette subsequently worked with the private client practices at Speechly Bircham and Mishcon de Reya.  She joined the tax department of SJ Berwin from Strand Legal in November 2004.

Bernadette advises on estate planning, personal tax, trusts, charity and probate and has experience working for high net worth individuals, settlors, trustees and beneficiaries.  She advises on matters with foreign connections in relation to domicile, residence and property ownership, establishing UK or offshore trusts and advice on trust and related tax issues and disputes.
