Bayo Odubeko is a Senior Associate in SJ Berwin LLP’s Corporate Finance Department.  Bayo joined SJ Berwin LLP in January 2006 having previously been a senior assistant in Lovells’ corporate finance department.  Bayo has advised on a broad range of domestic and international M&A transactions for both public and private clients including acquisitions and disposals, auctions, public takeovers, joint ventures, debt for equity swaps, fundraisings, IPOs (both Official List and AIM) and reorganisations.

Prior to joining SJ Berwin LLP, Bayo advised on the merger of Granada plc and Carlton Communications plc to form ITV plc, the acquisition by South African Breweries Plc of the Miller Brewing Company to form SABMiller, the acquisition by Bestway Cash and Carry Limited of Batleys PLC and various acquisitions and joint ventures for amongst others, Prudential Plc and Shaftesbury Plc.

Since joining SJ Berwin LLP, Bayo has advised German biotechnology company ARS Arthro AG on its takeover of a UK biotechnology company and the listing on AIM of the enlarged entity, Arthro Kinetics Plc, and has advised on the listing of Africa Opportunity Fund PLC on AIM.  Bayo has also advised on the proposed main market listings of the REIT, Vector Hospitality Plc, and Wagamama.  In addition, Bayo has advised 365 Media Group Plc on the City Code offer by BSkyB Plc for its entire issued share capital as well as on several real estate joint ventures for Candy and Candy.
