Graham Nicholson is a partner in the Corporate Finance department of SJ Berwin LLP.

Graham has broad experience of public and private M&A and other corporate transactions.  He specialises in mergers and acquisitions with a focus on private equity transactions in the UK and cross-border.  He has particular experience in the property/retail/leisure sectors and in transactions in the financial sector.

Graham has an MBA from London Business School and has experience in general business/legal roles in the FMCG and oil sectors.  Between 1994 and 1996, Graham was a corporate partner with an international law firm in Moscow.

Recent transactions include advising Mood Media SA on the acquisition of Alcas BV, a provider of “muzak” in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, advising Nomura International on a number of transactions, including the acquisition of Nordsee GmbH, Germany’s third largest fast food restaurant, advising Merchant Equity Partners on the equity arrangements in relation to their acquisition of MFI Retail and Bridgepoint/Permira in connection with their sale of the Holmes Place UK health clubs business to Virgin Active.
