Andrew Northage qualified as a solicitor in 2002 at the Serious Fraud Office, where he investigated and prosecuted serious and complex fraud, before joining SJ Berwin LLP in February 2005.

Since then Andrew has advised a wide range of clients, including investment banks, private equity and hedge fund managers, broker dealers, corporate finance advisers and other businesses, on both contentious and non-contentious securities law issues.

His experience includes advising clients on establishing businesses in the UK and obtaining the relevant regulatory approval and membership of stock exchanges, investigations and enforcement action by the Financial Services Authority, market abuse and insider dealing, the structuring of investment products, collective investment scheme issues in relation to landbanking arrangements, financial promotions and the marketing of investment funds and services, regulatory capital, offers of shares to the public and acquisitions and disposals of FSA-regulated businesses.

Andrew also has particular expertise in drafting customer terms of business, commercial agreements and other legal documents.

Andrew is a member of the Financial Services Lawyers Association.
