Melissa qualified as a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia in July 2007. Prior to that
Melissa worked as a graduate-at-law and paralegal for Nine Network Australia Pty Ltd,
a commercial television broadcaster. She has a first class honours degree in Law and
a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) from the University of Sydney.

Melissa has experience in various aspects of media law, including negotiating and
drafting production and distribution agreements, talent agreements and intellectual
property licenses. She has advised on regulatory matters, and has assisted clients
to lobby for reform in the areas of media law and regulation. Melissa has also
advised clients in relation to the distribution of material via new media platforms,
such as mobile and online delivery systems.
