Tillman de Vries joined the firm’s Berlin office in 2007 from Linklaters. He is an associate in the IP/IT/Commercial group.

Tillman advises banks, national and international film distributors and film producers in the areas of media financing, copyright law and M & A, as well as German and English insolvency law.

His focus in connection with film financing is the securitisation of production loans and co-financing. In addition, he has gained distinguished experience with respect to the drafting of various forms of production agreements and license agreements.

In addition hereto, he has specialised in advising clients in all sort of insolvency issues, especially with respect to the media and entertainment industry. He has successfully attended the course to qualify as specialist in insolvency law (Fachanwalt für Insolvenzrecht) and advised various clients, inter alia, in the insolvency proceedings of KirchMedia GmbH & Co. KG aA and Kinowelt AG.

Tillman is a German qualified lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) since 2001. He took his second state exam in law in Luebeck in 2000 and studied law at the University of Osnabrueck and the University of Kiel. After his second state exam he obtained a Master of Laws in International Business Law (LL.M) at the University of London.

He has published articles regarding film financing and insolvency issues. Tillman is also an active member in GRUR, the German Association for Intellectual Property.
