Pat Dugdale has wide experience of corporate, property and international tax, including tax planning for international groups, corporate reconstructions and corporate and real estate acquisitions and financing. She has advised on the establishment of numerous UK and overseas investment funds including private equity, real estate and technology funds as well as retail funds.
Pat qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and, in the early years of her career worked as a corporate lawyer in the Private Equity Team at SJ Berwin. She subsequently became a tax lawyer and was a tax partner in another major London firm before rejoining SJ Berwin as a tax partner. She has had "strong market recommendation" in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession.
Pat is an experienced conference speaker and her publications include the Practical Law Company (PLC) Practice Note on Tax Aspects of Share Sales and a number of articles on investment funds, stamp duty land tax and corporation tax reform.
She is a fluent German speaker and a member of the committee of the British German Jurists Association.
