Nathalie Duguay specialises in pan-European private equity investment funds (buy-out funds, mezzanine funds, venture funds, property funds, funds of funds, etc.) and related transactions.  She assists clients in the creation private equity investment funds in France (FCPRs) and in other jurisdictions (e.g. Luxembourg SICARs, English and Channel Island limited partnerships and British Virgin Island companies) and in setting up regulated portfolio management companies and carried-interest schemes for management teams.

She also advises investment funds and institutional investors on their portfolio investments and divestments (secondaries).

Nathalie Duguay joined SJ Berwin in 2001 and was a member of the founding team.

Nathalie is a graduate of Montreal University (Bachelor of Sciences, 1989, First Prize André Boily of the Canadian Institute of Chemistry, 1989) and of McGill University, where she completed the National Program (Civil Law / Common Law - LL.B/B.C.L. 1993). Nathalie is bilingual in French and English.

Nathalie is a member of the Quebec Bar and of the Paris Bar.

Nathalie Duguay est spécialisée en structuration de fonds d’investissement de private equity pan-européens (buy-out, mezzanine, venture, immobilier, fonds de fonds, etc.) et dans les opérations qui s'y rattachent. Son activité consiste à créer des fonds d’investissement en France (FCPR) et à l’étranger (e.g. SICAR luxembourgeoise, partnerships de droit anglais, des Iles Anglo-Normandes et Iles Vierges Britanniques) et à mettre en place les sociétés de gestion de portefeuille et les mécanismes d’intéressement des équipes de gestion (carried interest). ).

Nathalie conseille également des fonds d’investissement ainsi que des investisseurs institutionnels français et anglo-saxons sur leurs opérations d’acquisitions et de cessions de portefeuilles de participations (opérations secondaires).

Nathalie Duguay a rejoint SJ Berwin en 2001 afin de participer à la création du bureau de Paris.

Diplômée de l'Université de Montréal (Bachelor of Sciences, 1989,  Premier Prix André Boily du Canadian Institute of Chemistry 1989,) et de l'Université McGill où elle a suivi le National Programme (Civil Law / Common Law - LL.B/B.C.L. 1993), Nathalie est bilingue en français et anglais.
