James Darbyshire is an assistant solicitor in the Corporate Finance Department.  James studied Geography at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, and took the PgDL to convert to law in London.  He joined SJ Berwin in January 2007, having previously worked at Osborne Clarke in their Bristol office.

James deals with all aspects of corporate finance M&A work with a focus on private equity transactions in the UK, and also deals with both public and private M&A matters, including company and business acquisitions and disposals, venture capital, joint ventures, reorganisations and MBOs.
