Raji Bartlett is a partner in the Finance Department. He qualified in New Zealand and has been a partner at SJ Berwin LLP since 1997.

He advises both banking and corporate clients on a wide range of domestic and international financing transactions, including bilateral and syndicated facilities. He specialises in acquisition finance and property finance.

Recent transactions include:

• Advising Nomura International plc on the syndicated financing provided for the acquisition of Nordsee GmbH, the German based fish restaurant chain.
  
• Advising management on the US$280 million syndicated financing arranged by Bank of Scotland for the acquisition of ERM Holdings Limited (short listed by Legal Business for Private Equity Team of the Year).
  
• Advising Nick Leslau's Prestbury in its joint venture with Tom Hunter's West Coast Capital on the financing of their acquisition of approximately £400 million of assets from Travelodge hotels in a sale and leaseback deal (won award by Legal Business for Real Estate Team of the Year).
