The Group advises on legal issues relating to all aspects of telecommunications, including:

• Drafting and negotiation of commercial and corporate transactions for suppliers, customers and partners;
• Undertaking complex technology transactions, such as outsourcing;
  
  Advising on regulatory issues such as the new EU regulatory framework;
• Advising on mobile content issues; Advising on licensing and interconnection matters.

The Group is legal adviser to the EVUA which is an industry focus group for members with £10m per annum telecoms spend (over 70 members). The Group provides the telecommunications briefing for the leading legal magazine, In House lawyer.

Recent Instructions include:

• Drafting a model contract and handbook for a leading telecoms user association;
• Advising a leading mobile operator in relation to market analysis carried out by Oftel;
• Drafting and negotiating global telecoms agreements on behalf of multinational customers;
• Assisting with the refinancing of a video-on-demand provider; Advising on several matters (including a company reorganisation) for a leading pre-paid provider.
