Mike Woollard is a partner in the Reconstruction & Insolvency Group. He joined SJ Berwin in 2005, having previously been a partner at Hammonds. Prior to that he practised insolvency in Hong Kong.

Mike deals with all aspects of reconstruction and insolvency, particularly non contentious matters. He has experience in structuring financing and other transactions for insolvency risk and exit. His long experience acting for parties in restructuring and insolvency equips him with insight into their tactics, motivations and constraints.

Mike is a member of the General Technical Committee of the insolvency industry body R3 and is therefore involved at an early stage on consultations on a broad range of proposed legislative changes. He is also a contributor to Lightman and Moss “The Law of Administrators  and Receivers of Companies”. He is listed for his reconstruction and insolvency expertise in Legal 500 and Chambers.
