Carlos Gil Iglesias is a partner in the Madrid office of SJ Berwin.
He specialises in employment law, wide experience in contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment and social security law including corporate transactions, company benefit and remuneration plans, top executives employment relationships, termination arrangements, restrictive covenants as well as general strategic advice on all aspects of HR issues. He has considerable experience of employment litigation in Employment Tribunals. His expertise also covers private equity advising on contracts and remuneration strategies for private equity managers. He is member of the Madrid Bar Association and Member of the Employment and Social Security Department at PONTIFICIA DE COMILLAS UNIVERSITY, ICADE, where he is Lecturer of Employment Law.
He also lectures on employment law issues in other universities and business schools and he has co-authored several works and legal books, including "Commentaries on Procedural Employment Law" (published October 2000, McGrawHill), "The Judgement in the Employment Law Context" (published September 2001, McGrawHill), "Remuneration and indemnity payments, legal regime, tax impact and contribution to Social Security" (published December 2002, Cinco Días Newspaper).
