Justus Binder joined SJ Berwin LLP in 2000 as one of the founding partners of the
Munich office. He previously worked with another leading international law firm.

Justus advises both German and foreign clients in the fields of private equity,
where he has extensive experience. He focuses on buy-out transactions (in
particular leveraged and management buy-outs and buy-ins) and venture capital
investments as well as related secondary transactions and management incentive
programs. Justus also advises national and international companies in M&A
transactions, the establishment of joint ventures and general corporate matters.

Justus was educated at the universities of Freiburg i.Br. and Munich,
where he earned his doctorate (Dr jur). He is a member of the European
Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (EVCA) and the German Private
Equity and Venture Capital Association e.V. (Bundesverband deutscher
Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaften, BVK).
