George S. Pinkham is the senior partner of the Paris office and head of the office's fund formation group.

Working in international tax in New York, George moved to Paris in 1980. In 1985, he joined Salans Hertzfeld & Heilbronn, founding their New York office, before returning to Paris in 1988.

Specializes in private equity transactions, including LBO and LMBO acquisitions by private equity funds, including acquisition structure, senior and subordinated debt and incentive agreements for management, and in the creation of funds within France (FCPRs and SCRs) and abroad (U.S. and U.K. partnerships and offshore structures).

The fund formation group advises French, English and American investment structures investing in or outside of Europe. Member of the Tax and Legal Sub-Committee of EVCA, and the Legal Affairs Committee of AFIC, the French private equity association, Mr. Pinkham regularly advises the AFIC with respect to the drafting of legislation or regulations regarding French FCPRs.

Holds a Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School, California (1976), a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University (1972) and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College, New Hampshire (1969).

Native English and French speaker. Admitted to the bar in 1977 in New York State and in 1982 in France.
