Colin Millar advises French and foreign banks as well as numerous other financial institutions in the field of acquisition finance (LBO, senior and mezzanine debt finance), syndicated lending and structured finance.

Colin qualified at Oxford University and obtained an M.A. (Hons) Jurisprudence and a Bachelor’s Degree of Civil Law.

He started his career at Freshfields in 1986 in London and moved to Paris in 1989. He joined Simmons & Simmons in 1992 and became partner and head of the Finance department there in 1994.

Colin joined SJ Berwin as partner in January 2005 in order to develop the Paris office’s banking and finance practice.

Colin is bilingual in English and French. He is a solicitor admitted to practice in England and Wales and has been a member of the Paris bar since 1993.

Colin est diplômé d’Oxford University où il a obtenu un M.A. (Jurisprudence) et Bachelor of Civil Law.

Exerçant en France depuis 1989, il débute sa carrière chez Freshfields avant de rejoindre Simmons & Simmons en 1992 où il est associé en 1994 et nommé responsable du département Finance.

Colin rejoint ensuite le bureau parisien de SJ Berwin en janvier 2005 en tant qu’associé pour y développer l’activité de Droit Bancaire et Financier.

Colin est bilingue français, anglais. Il est Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales (1989) et inscrit au Barreau de Paris depuis 1993.
