Arnaud specialises in private equity investment fund formation and structuring, for French (FCPRs and SCRs), international (limited partnerships, SICARs) and pan-European (combined limited partnership/FCPR structures) funds in all areas: venture, growth capital, buy-out, fund of funds, co-investment, mezzanine, real estate and infrastructure. He also acts on secondary transactions (acquisitions or disposals of investment portfolios).

Arnaud is on several committees of the French professional association AFIC (Association Française des Investisseurs en Capital), where he participates on various projects relating to private equity legislation and regulation.

Arnaud began his career at Gide where he practiced in the field of banking and financial law from 1997 to 1999. He then joined Salans where, from 1999 to 2001, he focussed on the field of private equity. In 2001, he helped George Pinkham and Sylvie Vansteenkiste found the Paris office of SJ Berwin.

Arnaud obtained a post graduate degree (DEA) in Business Law at the University of Paris II (Pantheon-Assas) and an LLM at the Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley.

Arnaud speaks fluent English and French.  He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 1997.

Arnaud est spécialisé dans la structuration et la création de fonds d’investissement français (FCPR, SCR), étrangers (limited partnership, SICAR) et pan-européens (combinaison de limited partnerships et FCPRs) : dans les domaines de venture, capital développement, buy-out, fonds de fonds, co-investissement, mezzanine, immobilier et infrastructures. Il intervient également dans le cadre d’opérations secondaires (acquisition ou cession de portefeuilles de participations).

Arnaud est membre de plusieurs comités de l’AFIC (Association Française des Investisseurs en Capital) où il participe aux différents projets concernant la législation et la réglementation du capital investissement (private equity).

Arnaud a débuté sa carrière au sein du cabinet Gide où il a exercé dans le domaine du droit bancaire et financier de 1997 à 1999. Il a ensuite rejoint le cabinet Salans où, de 1999 à 2001, il s’est spécialisé dans le domaine du capital investissement (private equity). En 2001, il a participé à la création du bureau parisien de SJ Berwin avec George Pinkham and Sylvie Vansteenkiste.

Arnaud est diplômé de l’Université de Paris II Panthéon - Assas (DEA de droit des affaires) et de Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley (LLM).

Arnaud est bilingue français et anglais. Il est membre du Barreau de Paris depuis 1997.
