The office comprises 55 lawyers, including fifteen partners and is continuing to recruit.
The French office is rapidly building its own reputation as part of SJ Berwin's market leading practice in Europe in fund formation and fund-raising. Clients advised locally include an increasing number of investment funds seeking legal and taxation advice, not only at the time of their formation, but also as they invest in corporate transactions ranging from venture capital, to early stage financings and MBO/LBOs, as well as disposals.
The office is also increasingly active in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate venturing, across a broad range of complex corporate finance and re-structuring work. The firm is favoured by large and mid-sized clients, from within France or from abroad.
