Indiana joined the firm’s Brussels office in 2006. She has been practicing EU and competition law since 1999 and has participated in a number of significant EU cases, notably in the areas of merger control, horizontal and vertical agreements, cartel defence, anti-dumping and commercial arbitration. She has advised numerous clients on distribution and pricing solutions and in trade matters.
She has developed particular expertise in competition compliance programmes, advice to International trade associations, and a selection of EU environmental topics such as the RoHS and WEEE Directives.
Indiana has been seconded for almost a year to a major US airline company operating express delivery and has gained outstanding insight of the functioning of a US corporation and of an in-house legal department.
Indiana graduated in law from the University of Bordeaux, France, and obtained a diploma in English law from the University of Kent at Canterbury, U.K. She then obtained a Masters degree in EU law and an additional Masters degree in international business law, both from renowned French Universities. She has written a thesis on selective distribution of luxury products in the EU (1993) and on international distribution networks (1994). Indiana occasionally lectures on competition strategy to the MBA students of ESSEC in Paris, France.
Indiana is admitted to the bar associations of Paris, France, and Brussels, Belgium. She speaks fluent French and English and has a very good command of Spanish and Dutch.
