Middle East : Litigation & Dispute Resolution : Fraud & Investigations
Our Fraud and Investigations group is an acknowledged leader in the field with a particular expertise in highly complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes and investigations.

Over recent years we have been involved in some of the highest profile cases concerned with the recovery of property and assets.  Our experience extends worldwide.

Our expertise is recognised in the legal directories who say:

  • "this problem-solving and client-committed group … [has] an advantage over some of its competitors as it can see all angles of the problem"
  • "continues to impress both competitors and clients alike"
  • "increasingly becoming a force to be reckoned with in terms of civil fraud and asset tracing"

The group acts for both claimants and defendants, which gives our institutional clients the benefit of our "hands-on experience" acquired in defendant work. We also have a wealth of experience acting for and against sovereign states.

Specific areas of expertise include freezing orders, asset tracing, search and seize orders, regulatory investigations involving the FSA and SFO, prevention of fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty by directors, negligence in the detection of fraud, money laundering and anti-corruption measures, cyber-crime and multi-jurisdictional litigation.

We have litigated widely in North America, the Caribbean, Africa, continental Europe, Switzerland and the Asia Pacific region and we have relationships with leading litigation lawyers in each of the major off-shore jurisdictions.

The Fraud and Investigations Group operates from within our Commercial Litigation department. In addition, we deal with the following specified areas, in conjunction with our colleagues in financial markets and regulatory, EU & Competition, employment, arbitration and intellectual property.
