With teams based in Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, our group is ideally placed to advise on all contentious and non-contentious employment and pension law issues, across multiple jurisdictions.
We are a close knit, experienced group, recommended in all of the leading legal directories for our user friendly approach and expertise, cited in Chambers & Partners as 'Smooth operators who are extremely smart, helpful and knowledgable in their field' and Legal 500 as offering 'responsive, knowledgeable, common-sense advice'.
Employment:
Our services encompass the full range of contentious and advisory work from creating bespoke contracts and policies and procedures to training management in how to identify and avoid disputes. We advise on sensitive personnel issues, dismissals, protecting confidentiality and goodwill; including advice on restrictive covenants and team moves. We also have wide experience in managing tribunal and high court litigation.
Multi-jurisdictional advice includes corporate transactional work (share sales/purchases, asset transfers and related TUPE matters), collective redundancies, international hires and secondments.
Our 'stand alone' work is mainly employer focussed. We work with directors, legal teams and managers who have responsibility for human resources/human capital issues, in a wide variety of organisations including large PLCs, small and medium sized companies, financial institutions, LLPs and charities.
Pensions:
We work closely with employers and trustees of pension schemes as well as firms of administrators, actuaries, consultants, brokers and other pension scheme advisers, with whom we cover a comprehensive range of services in relation to all areas of pensions law and practice in the United Kingdom.
In particular, we cover all areas of pensions law affecting service agreements and flotations, corporate mergers, acquisitions and disposals (including clearance applications to the Pensions Regulator), insolvency and the restructuring of pension schemes, pension litigation, HR issues and scheme administration in the light of current and anticipated pensions legislation.
We now act in respect of over 40 occupational pension schemes of varying types.
