Steering the Right Course: Recent Developments in Procurement Law and Practice
Thursday 22nd May 2008
at 10 Queen Street Place, London, EC4R 1BE
An Invitation to attend a morning seminar with Peter Bennett, Head of EU Developments at the Office of Government Commerce.
Introduction
Procurement law is developing fast and extending its reach, with remedies for breach becoming more widely available. The Public and Private sector will need to remain on top of recent developments, not least to avoid the potential for any significant cost and delay. We are therefore delighted to be joined by Peter Bennett, Head of EU Developments at the Office of Government Commerce, who will give us a valuable insight on the OGC's planned implementation of the Remedies Directive in the UK. Peter and our panel of expert speakers will provide practical summaries of key aspects of the regime and its relevance to a variety of business sectors.
Reasons to Attend
- Have a better appreciation of the complex procurement rules that regulate an increasing number of contract opportunities
- Get ahead of the competition by demonstrating an understanding of the procurement regime when tendering for new contracts
- Avoid any errors in the process which could prove to be costly and time consuming for both the successful bidder and contracting authority
- Securing European / other public funding can often be conditional on compliance with the procurement rules
