Reiten & Co Strategic Investment AS's new fund, Reiten & Co Capital Partners VII L.P., held its Final Closing in the amount of € 256m on 25 October 2007, significantly exceeding the size of the previous fund. Investors include Access, CAM, Horsley Bridge and VCM.
The Fund will focus on making private equity investments in small and middle-market companies in the Nordic region (primarily Norway), with transaction sizes typically being between € 10 million and € 40 million.

Lead legal counsel to the Fund was SJ Berwin LLP who advised on the structuring of the Fund, the key documentation and negotiations with investors. The SJ Berwin LLP team was headed by partner Sonya Pauls from the Munich office who was assisted by associates Adam Lippiett and Claudia Zeibe.

The Fund was advised on Guernsey legal issues by Ogier. Norwegian firm, Thommessen Krefting Greve Lund AS, acted as legal and tax counsel on all pertinent Norwegian issues and US firm Ropes & Gray advised on US tax, legal and regulatory issues. Merrill Lynch acted as the Fund's placement agent.
