SJ Berwin represented Megalomedia plc, an AIM listed company of which Lord Saatchi is Chairman, in relation to its tender offer to repurchase up to 68,966,127 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company, representing 87.14 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.

In order to fund the repurchase Megalomedia sought approval of the Court to reduce its share premium account in order to create a distributable reserve. Court approval was granted and the reduction became effective on 18 July 2001.

The SJ Berwin team was led by corporate finance partners Jonathan Metliss and Delphine Currie, supported by corporate assistant Jacqui Adams.
