Leading pan-European corporate and commercial law firm SJ Berwin LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of new outsourcing partner, David Meredith, who will be joining the firm’s Commerce & Technology Group in the New Year.  David, who will head SJ Berwin’s outsourcing team, will significantly strengthen this practice area and prove a real asset to the firm, particularly in the technology field. David joins from specialist technology firm Kemp Little, where he has been a commercial group partner since March 2003, and more recently, head of outsourcing.

David specialises in negotiating and drafting commercial technology contracts, and advising on technology-related regulatory issues.  He has a deep legal and commercial knowledge of software development and exploitation, systems projects, intellectual property and electronic commerce, and of the specific regulation of the deployment of technology in different industry sectors.  David has acted on several of the largest and most complex UK and global technology projects, for clients including EDS, Microsoft, SITA and the UK Department of Health. He regularly advises on public procurement, privacy, electronic transactions, competition laws, and financial services regulation. He has also been seconded to major telecommunications, technology and content providers, and to the UK Government.
