Prudential, owners of Bradford's recently refurbished Kirkgate shopping centre, have been concerned about proposals by Forster Square Development Partnership for the Broadway Centre scheme in Bradford city centre.
SJ Berwin led negotiations for Prudential which resulted in a formal undertaking being signed on the first morning of the public inquiry on 30 January into the Council's CPO for the Broadway Centre scheme. The undertaking by Bradford City Council and Forster Square Development Partnership resolves Prudential's key concerns in such areas as the maximum size of the proposed scheme, integration with the existing city centre, transportation implications and city centre management issues.
Leading planning solicitor, Simon Ricketts, represented Prudential for SJ Berwin, appearing as advocate at the inquiry.
