Krokus Private Equity's new fund, Nova Polonia Natexis II Private Equity Fund, has held its final closing at €100 million, significantly exceeding the initial target of €75 million. Its investment focus is on the Polish mid market.
Investors include Natexis Private Equity, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and InvestKredit.
The new fund will target expansion and buy-out opportunities in the Polish mid market. Targeted industry sectors include manufacturing, services (including financial services), distribution, transportation and construction materials.
Lead legal counsel to the Fund was SJ Berwin LLP who advised on the structuring of the Fund, the key documentation and negotiations with investors.
The SJ Berwin LLP team was headed by partner Sonya Pauls from the Munich office who was assisted by associate Adam Lippiett.
The Fund was advised on Jersey legal issues by Mourants de Feu and Jeune. Polish firm Gessel acted as legal and tax counsel on all pertinent Polish issues
