SJ Berwin Advises Cannacord Capital (Europe) Raising $25 Million of Rescue Finance to Recapitalise Navan Mining

In a race against time, SJ Berwin advised Canaccord Capital (Europe) Limited raising $25 million of rescue finance to recapitalise Navan Mining plc. Navan Mining is a focused European gold and base metals explorer and producer with a major focus on a gold discovery at Krumovgrad in Bulgaria. The SJ Berwin team was led by Philip Goldenberg. Navan Mining was represented by a Clyde & Co team led by Martin Byatt. Pii Ketvel of Clyde led for Navan, and Jonathan Brownson of Allen & Overy and his team advised a bank syndicate led by Deutsche Bank, on the restructuring of Navan's $36 million of bank indebtedness, and the conversion of one-third of it into new equity.
