SJ Berwin LLP Advises Rocket Pictures Limited
The SJ Berwin team was led by media partner Sarah Bing, supported by media partner Tim Johnson and media assistants Ed Fellows and Claire Warnes.
Commenting on the financing, Sarah Bing said: "We are delighted that in the current harsh climate for independent film-makers, our clients succeeded in fully-financing their film and did so well in advance of principal photography".
Rocket Pictures is a UK based production house run by singer/songwriter Elton John, his partner David Furnish and producer Steve Hamilton-Shaw.
Steve Hamilton-Shaw added: "Only with the work and professionalism of SJ Berwin could we have closed the financing in the timeframe we did. The whole team were focused and pro-active in bringing "It's a Boy/Girl Thing" into production."

SJ Berwin LLP recently advised Rocket Pictures Limited on the financing of their feature film "It's a Boy/Girl Thing" starring Kevin Zegers and Samaire Armstrong and directed by Nick Hurran. This UK/Canadian co-production is the first collaboration between UK producers David Furnish and Steve Hamilton-Shaw and Canadian producer Marty Katz. The financiers involved in the project were Comerica Bank, Icon Entertainment International, Scion Film Financing and William A Bong Limited. The film, set in the United States but being filmed in Toronto and London from 3 October 2005, tells the story of two high school seniors, who, as well as being next door neighbours, are also sworn enemies. Matters take a turn for the worse when they wake one day to find themselves in each other's bodies, with the most important events of their young lives only one week away...The SJ Berwin team was led by media partner Sarah Bing, supported by media partner Tim Johnson and media assistants Ed Fellows and Claire Warnes.
