SJ Berwin Advises on Acquisition of Donhost Limited by Pipex Communications plc

SJ Berwin represented Pipex Communications Plc in connection with acquisition of Donhost Limited by Pipex Communications plc.

Donhost is a webhosting business and was acquired by Pipex for a total consideration of £5.9 million of which £4.1 million was paid for in cash and the remainder satisfied in shares in Pipex.

Pipex Communications plc is one of the leading telecoms network operators and providers of business broadband solutions in the United Kingdom, offering a comprehensive range of services across a variety of market sectors.

The SJ Berwin corporate team was led by corporate finance partner Jonathan Djanogly, supported by Marcus Biggs and the banking team, was led by banking partner Gillian Smith, assisted by Jen Yee Chan and Federico Candiolo.

Commenting on the deal, Jonathan Djanogly said; "We are delighted to have advised Pipex in its acquisition of Donhost. The addition of Donhost to the Pipex group further strengthens Pipex's hosting offering and takes the total Pipex hosting customers to 250,000 and domain name registration to over 1 million."
