Siebert, 36, became a partner on 1 May. He joined SJ Berwin in 2005 from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he worked for five years in both Germany and Brussels. Siebert has worked on filings with the European Commission and Germany's Federal Cartel Office, for clients such as Apax Partners, DZ Equity Partners, Nomura and Deutsche Beteiligungs. He has also worked on cartel cases.
Says Siebert: "I am delighted to join the SJ Berwin partnership and am very proud to be part of its strong and growing pan-European competition team."

Siebert becomes SJ Berwin's second competition partner based in Germany. The firm bas 12 competition partners in total in London, Rome, Madrid, Paris and Munich.
