SJ Berwin Advises on Recommended £54 Million MBO of Oasis Stores

SJ Berwin represented Oasis Stores plc in relation to the recommended final cash offer by Sierra Acquisitions plc for the whole of the issued share capital of Oasis Stores plc.

The cash offer values Oasis at approximately £54 million. Shareholders accepting the offer may elect to receive loan notes as an alternative to all or part of the cash consideration.

Sierra Acquisitions plc was formed specifically for the purpose of making the offer and is backed by PPM Ventures Limited and a management team led by the current chief executive of Oasis, Derek Lovelock.

The SJ Berwin team was led by corporate finance partners Jonathan Metliss and Delphine Currie, supported by corporate assistant Jacqui Adams. Jonathan Metliss said: "This is a further example of SJ Berwin's increasing activity and expertise in public to private management buyout transactions."

Berwin Leighton Paisner acted for the management team in respect of the offer and Ashurst Morris Crisp represented Sierra Acquisitions plc.
