S J Berwin & Co represented Kyte Group on the creation of Eden Group plc, a broking firm that specialises in private clients and dealing for other City firms, and which intends to build an asset management and corporate broking operation.

The creation of Eden Group plc was effected by way of a demerger from Kyte Group of its stockbroking business. Kyte's principal business is now in derivatives broking and hedge fund management.

The chairman of both Kyte Group and Eden Group plc is Ron Sandler, the former chief operating officer of NatWest and a former chief executive of Lloyd's of London.

The S J Berwin team was led by partners Jonathan Metliss and Delphine Currie, assisted by Jacqui Adams.
